LOOK WHAT GOD CAN DO!

The July 16th UPDATE

July 16, 2005 UPDATE – THREE MONTHS HAS ARRIVED

It’s hard to believe it but it’s time for us to head to Denver again for my three month check up at National Jewish Medical Center. The last time we were there, we were schedule for two weeks and ended up being there almost six weeks. This time we are schedule for a much shorter period, just a couple of days of testing and time with the doctor so we are hoping to actually see parts of Colorado that we missed before.

How thankful we are that God has blessed me to make good progress in the healing of the Diffuse PanBronchialitis and the psueodomonis bacterial infection that my oxygen saturation levels and peek flow breathing levels have been on the "very good" to "exceptional" levels. I get the feeling the doctors are actually amazed at the good progress. Of course we know that God is able to do more than we can ask or think and has a way of "blowing our minds."

Ephesians 3:20 (The Message) God can do anything, you know—far more than you could ever imagine or guess or request in your wildest dreams! He does it not by pushing us around but by working within us, his Spirit deeply and gently within us.

Of course, we also realize the pseudomonis bacteria has a way of finding it’s way back and changing the line of defense so it will be an ever present possibility. As the DPB is controlled there will be less for the pseudomonis bacteria to live on which will be helpful in keeping my respiratory system clear. Thankfully, the airway clearance exercises along with my "recovery training" of cycling and running (walk/run) also helps to keep my airways clear.

As we head to Denver, we thank you for praying for us that the work which God has begun will continue.

Philippians 1:6 (The Message) There has never been the slightest doubt in my mind that the God who started this great work in you would keep at it and bring it to a flourishing finish on the very day Christ Jesus appears.

Godspeed,

Bob and Jan
