January, 3, 2006 UPDATE – Preparing For A Marathon
The test has arrived. On Sunday, Jan and I - along with a host of friends will be running the Disney World Marathon. I also have the privilege of leading the prayer service on Saturday before the half marathon and on Sunday before the full marathon. This is going to be fun, considering my journey began in the ICU of University Hospital in Denver, CO on April 6, 2005 when I was one breath from death after my lung collapsed.
I went from a stroll in the ICU, thanks to my wonderful nurse, Lucy who helped me take walks each day.

So it's race week and we are excited. We are also thankful to God for bringing us this far.
1 Corinthians 1:8-9 He will keep you strong right up to the end, and he will keep you free from all blame on the great day when our Lord Jesus Christ returns. [9] God will surely do this for you, for he always does just what he says, and he is the one who invited you into this wonderful friendship with his Son, Jesus Christ our Lord.
